09:26 pm: Ontario election campaign is in full gear. Hard to tell the monkeys from the chimpanzees. Who the heck to vote for. I would like to say the choice is clear, but that would be far from the truth. Impossible to define myself politically in these times. Always said "put a monkey in an orange suit....NDP colours for those unaware of our colour-coded political map.....and I'll vote for him/her" but that isn't true anymore. The danger of the far right fundamentalist/Christian backed Conservative with a capital C party, provincially or federally, has me oscillating every election between the NDP or blocking my nose and voting Liberal. Maybe I should just accept the fact that the NDP will never make it as a ruling party, and throw my hat in the air and see where it lands. So, this election is about whether we should fund religious schools, or stop funding the Catholic school board, and have one secular public school. Of course, I support this, and the Liberal party does too, and is making this a campaign issue. Maybe I am a a Liberal after all. Minus the graft, mismanagement of public funds and trust, old-cronyism, patriarchal, broken promises, et al......... SHIT! I did vote liberal in the last federal election.....voted to keep Stephen Harper out of office.......didn't work, but heck, I tried. Now, instead of Liberal cronies we have Conservatives ready to sell our water to America, they have backed out of our Kyoto commitments, believe that the world is 2000 years old, and turned their nose on federally funded day care, fudged the lines between free trade and fair trade et al........ Hmmmmm. Maybe, just maybe, I should block my nose again........

Voting's always a problem, isn't it? I hate politics for the simple reason that they are all the damn same, when it comes right down to it. Just in it to keep themselves in office for as long as possible and if that means backtracking on promises made along the way ... so be it! Bastards! Can't trust any of them. We have a federal election coming up before the end of the year ... I'm thinking I might have to vote Green or independent.
